YB Cosworth Long Head Stud Kit
 
Original Mountune WRC specification long stud kit to suit all 200 4wd blocks and RS500 blocks.
Designed to eliminate distortion to the cylinder block head surface and cylinder bores. Stress in these areas is removed by using a longer studs that pass through the block face and thread into the block at the bottom of the water jacket. A must for all high power engines but also recommended for all stages of tune.
Burton Power are the exclusive supplier of this genuine kit which are still sourced from Mountune's original manufacturer. Often copied, alternative kits can be easily replicated to the same dimensions but they will not be made with the correct material and most importantly will not have the correct heat treatment, both of which are vital to the stud's strength.
6 stud kit designed to be used with 4 standard head bolts (SC1200). Alternative specification with a narrow 14mm shoulder (original spec is 17.3mm). These kits are preferred by some builders as it takes less material out of the deck face. Block will require specialist machining.
Torque stud into block 55 lbs/ft with thread lock. Torque nuts with Graphogen under nut. Torque settings (three stages): 30/60/95lbs/ft. Washer fits with groove facing the head.
